View Full Version : products for raising testosterone levels
Hi i'm an 18 y/o and recently had a testosterone test with my urologist following some other problems. I was dissapointed to find out that I was at the lower end of the "normal" range. I was 14.5 in a range from 11 to 30. Are there any products that can be purchased from the web that could significantly raise my testosterone levels? I know of a few, but I am looking for a single product rather than a combination that I can persuade my parents to buy. Any help would be very kindly received. Thanks.
If your urologist will give you a prescription, you could use Androgel, which is testosterone you apply as a gel on your skin.
Usually guys your age are at the high end of the range.
Lifestyle might be a factor. Is there any thing in your life that is causing lots of stress? Are you getting enough sleep? Are you drinking too much? Do you smoke? Are you eating right?
I'm not saying this is you, but I know men that have abused steroids have this problems for about 2-3 months after they come off a heavy steroid cycle. This side effect always resolves by itself --The drug Clomid helps speed up the recovery of low testosterone after a roid cycle.
There is a chance you may have gonad/endocrine problem. If you doc is willing, you may qualify for testosterone replacement therapy. This therapy is only used for men that are producing very little testosterone.
I would not really worry much about this though unless you can't get or maintain good wood. If you are horny and have an erection every morning, I think you are doing fine.

Procurator, I can only speak of my own experience with OTC testosterone raising products used mainly in conjunction with working-out. I don't really think that tribulus ever made a damn bit of difference in my test levels, certainly not in relation to lifting or sex. Adrostederm products seem to have a "feel good" effect or mood elevation and sometimes I would feel "nipple tingle"-possibly a product of aromatization as I believe it is called. Also noticed a very pronounced slump after quitting use of the topical andro products-seemed like a week to feel normal again. Many of these products, although not usually in bold print, state somewhere in there FAQ or literature that they are most effective at RESTORING NORMAL LEVELS of testosterone. I am probably well into the normal range and likely have been most of my life. So too might you actually be, as I understand test levels cycle high and low, peak at various times of day (are you a graveyard shifter?), and can also plummet significantly, but temporarily for various reasons. If you were surrised and dissappointed, you might want to consider your percieved problem in light of just that-apparently you figured your levels would be higher! As I gather, most men with a significant test deficiency probably have some indicators (lack of energy and strenth, erection problems, weight gain) prior to clinical evaluation of numbers on a data sheet and would not be as surprised to find something out of balance. If it is really an issue for you, get tested several more times and if you deem necessary, go with a PRESCRIPTION test product-they are very likely more effective than what you might purchase web-style shopping. Above all, if you feel good and everything's working, fuck the numbers on paper, but don't fuck with normal and healthy rythyms-you might really do yourself a disservice there. Good luck, groaboa628
Thanks very much for the inciteful posts guys. Perhaps I should give some more background info about me. I'm 18, go they gym regularly and I am considerably muscly and fit for my age. I maintain a very healthy diet and usually have the right amounts of sleep. Over the last academic year though I have been under much stress, studying for finals at school so hopefully this has had a negative effect. I have also been told that I have a variocele on my left testes, could this be lowering my testosterone levels?
I don't always have morning errections, and I don't generally seem to be that horny. I can get errections when I'm with my girlfriend, but don't often feel the need to masturbate as much as I did when I was younger.
Sorry not to give this info before, any help would be greatly appreciated, from a worried individual. Thanks.
Sorry to not mention this before. But the reason for me seeing the urologist in the first place is because I have difficulty orgasming (I ejaculate but experience a crap orgasm). So we ran a number of tests. Although testosterone was in the low end of the range he said that that was no cause for concern, and of course he found the varicocele. He believes that there are psychological problems at heart inhibiting a good orgasm for me.
Is it possible that my lack of morning errections/horniness/ and good testosterone levels is attributed to psychological issues I might have?
