Question for the long time jelqers; has anyone ever encountered any problems with varicose veins forming in the penis? I am just concerned that the prolonged pressure experienced during a jelq session could have negative and unintended consequences.

This is an excellent question. Personally, I don't think it is a concern for us. Varicose veins typically happen to women on their legs and is strongly hereditary. Pregnancy often worsens the condition. Valve failure results in a given vein not being able to pump used blood back up to the heart. Since it can't go up, it pools in the vein causing the vein to enlarge.
The valve mechanism involved with the erection process works totally different. With sufficient incoming blood flow, the main veins in the penis become pinched lengthwise by the internal pressure, thereby maintaining the erection.
Your concern, of course, is that jelqing might damage the valves, resulting in varicose veins. If you were to damage a valve, I don't think it would affect erectile function. It is conceivable that a valve could be damaged which would be helping to pump blood back to the base of the penis. I don't know that much about the valve structure of our veins but I have never heard of a varicose vein complaint here and I've been reading this forum for about a year and a half.
Note: I am NOT a doctor.
If anyone could explain in better detail or correct what I've said, please do so.
Alcatraz 2,
Good points you've made. I will try and research *EXACTLY* how erections are created and see if there are any corresponding points to be wary of concerning varicose veins appearing in the penis.
