Do you guys notice a difference when you use a string verses a tape measure? I remember reading a website saying the correct way was to use a string and then lay that out and measure it. Well there is a difference from that measurement and the tape. Any ideas why that is? I am encouraged that with the string I am bigger, but think most guys measure with the tape measure for the surveys. What method do you guys use? What about the surveys what do you think they say mostly? I know some say "at the widest point" and others "at mid shaft" but don't really specify using a string unless I am mistaken.

By the way, as far as measuring length goes I found instructions from some of the biggest surveys saying to press it against the bone which is encouraging to me. That means surveys like "the definitive penis survey" says 6.4 or something like that but it is bone pressed. Well that is a huge difference. That means most of those guys are under 6 non bone pressed. Bone pressed adds more than 5/8 an inch for me (even more if I don't mind drawing blood haha).

I use the tape measure myself. Think it's more accurate.

Use the string, IT IS THE CORRECT METHOD.

One would think the tape measure would "add" a bit since it does not lay down as flat, but it does not. Every site I have vistited and every study I read says the same thing: use a string, marking the overlapping parts with a marker, then measure the string on the ruler.

Dance, I have been down and out and my dick has been small, shriveled up, not really "electric" and also somewhat dysfunctional.......but I kept on hanging and hanging and hanging (with Ulis some afterward for circulation), and even when on top of all that, I got very painful stretched skin syndrome. But tonite, after Ulis and some new porn, I got a massive woodie that looked absolutely unreal and was I thick.........I didn't measure with a ruler/string but with my finger stretch method I am very happy that nothing was lost, and progress is being made even while I'm fatigued and seemingly going nowhere.......but I'm ripping it at the maximum stress I can stand. I grit my teeth sometimes waiting on the clock to finish that "20 minute" timing, you know what I mean?

Don't give up and you will make a breakthru. I have been having a pre-electric burning sensation in my ligs, and I am working them hard, in fact, too hard and I need to rest a few days. Last nite I ened up haning only ten pounds, half my max, and tonite I could only max at 17.5 for the straight down pull, then going down to 15 , then 12.5. I could manage 20 "over the back" OK, but my ligs don't care what poundage is, just the pull........keep working working working.

Have you gotten shrivelled up yet and puny looking? If not, you need to rip it more. You mentioned 5 sets........shoot for 5 sets now as a magic minimum......that's about 1 hours and 40 minutes.

My goals were to add more weight, more sets and more days in a row. If I was persistent I could increase all of these. I was careful not to increase so much that I could not continue the next day. I increased the weight by 3 pounds since we talked. I now hang 5 days in a row. Furthermore, the number of sets are increasing. Until two days ago 4 sets was my minimum, and then I decided to increase to 5. So far I have only been able to do 5 sets once. This is partially from time restraints, but the real problem was that my penis was getting sore and marked up from the clamp. I added one strip of ace bandage on top of the theraband and believe that will solve my problem.

It did seem pretty small yesterday and I do have a real "strained" feeling in the ligaments but you term of "electric" is not easily understood so I am still not sure about that. In the past few days I did get a strange feeling. Usually I was sore on the top of my penis in the middle. Then the soreness moved more to the sides. I mean on both sides where the penis meets the body. At first I was nervous cause it felt like in the hernia area, but after closer examination it is still on the shaft. When a person hangs they see on both sides of the penis an area coming out from the body. That is where I became pretty sore. So last night I stopped after only 3 sets cause I got nervous from the feeling. This was my fifth day in a row and think I should take a day off. I started thinking that maybe the middle part is stretched to the point that it is hitting the other areas now (not sure). Anyway I am making every effort to have 5 sets, 5 days in a row my minimum and also slowly increase the weight. After that I will go to 6.

The other thing is that I only hang strait down in a sitting reclined position. I guess I should mix it up a little such as lay on the side for a few minutes?

I dont know about anybody else but im actually starting to pray every nite that Dance starts really gaining !!! i'm waiting for the day when i turn this thing on and Dance says his Dork is really beggining to Dangle !! lol

Keep it up Buddy. Most guys would have given up by now. U r really to be admired and Your perserverence has got to pay off eventually !!

If there is a Penis God one day soon i hope he will cast his smiling glance in your direction !!! :-)

Dance: yes, that has been my contention about measuring length -- that the Definitive Penis Survey was done with bone-pressed measurements, and that is why it came in at 6.4, while certain others (Durex I think) came in at 6.2, being non BP. At least one of these sites mentioned that most of the large surveys are very close in results: between 6.1 and 6.4, depending on how the measuring is done. I think that's a pretty safe bet. Those who are talking about 5.1 inches ... well, I wish, but I don't think so . . . .

Yes I know we had this conversation before. I don't know anyone that would only have a difference of slightly over .25 from non bone pressed to bone pressed. For most of us it is more than a half an inch difference. If I look up Durex it also says 6.4 I still say the the average is not above 6 non bone pressed and probably under.

More specifically this is my question. Why is the string measurment larger than the tape. That just seems strange to me. Makes me feel better sure but if others use tape and I use string then we are not in the same ball park anyway.

Your description of the lig soreness, the "hernia" feeliing are all things I've experienced and continue to experience. That says the ligs are now, finally, receiving stress and are being stretched. Just be confident and secure in the knowledge that this is happening and that you are not wasting your time. Personally, I try to rip it hard when I'm sore up to the point I cannot stand it.

What you described happened to me Sunday and I was happily hanging a mere 10 pounds at the end, but the work was still being done.


I would recommend adding a big dose of L-Arginine (Lysine too), say 3-5 grams, one hour before you start hanging. I may release enough growth hormone to help you some. Remember, the gains are a big "delayed" effect, you won't see them when it happens, and it just sneaks up on you. Also, don't be dominated by the "ruler effect" and think about gains all the time. Visualize what you want to be, not what you are now or whether or not you are succeeding.

Ok I understand. It made me nervous thought like something wrong was going on and I was going to injure myself. Currently I take 1,000 mg in the morning of L arginine. I will up the dosage and take it before hanging.
