Since I've finally broken down and set up a couple of nifty swivel and rope setups at my computer desk, I will now be able to hang at different angles with ease. And of course I've been wondering what others have done along these lines.
I'd like to hear about gizmo's or setups anyone has created to enhance their hanging regiment. I'm not talking about hangers, we talk about them all the time.
An example of one that cracked me up was supposedly done by CalMan many moons ago. Apparently he cut a hole in a chair so he could hang straight down. This would have allowed him to use his back rest instead of sitting on the edge of his chair. Obviously this is serious motivation!

Come on now, there have to be guys here who have innovated to hang at different angles.
I forget who mentioned something about using a nautilus machine concept to me recently. In essence my computer desk is now a PE nautilus contraption.
alcatraz,
i used to have a small pulley rigged to the underside of my desk that allowed me to hang pretty close to my natural angle of erection. it didn't allow the widest imaginable range of motion, but i could swivel my chair to one side or the other to shift the focus of the tension. functional, but probably not hall of fame material. ;-)

WX,
Thanks for the post. I find it amusing just knowing who has gone to the trouble of setting up a pulley.

Alcatraz,
I have written about my stuff before, but may as well post it again. To keep from messing up a chair by hanging weights over the edges, use a piece of split pvc pipe to protect.
Measure the depth of the edge and cut out that much pipe from a 3" or 4" diameter pipe. Then, drill a hole in two corners of the split pipe. Attach a rope to each hole and tie them off to the back support posts.
When and if you need a longer edge extension, you can insert a smaller piece of pipe inside the 3-4 inch split pipe
Another piece can be used for over the shoulder hanging if you have a high backed chair. Just cut a couple of groove 'guides' in the pvc for the rope to run through and place it on the chair back.
