View Full Version : is between 3-4 hours a week hangtime enough?

03-21-2001, 02:00 PM
that's all i've been getting in i'm considering splitting my hanging days so that i do some in the morning and some at night to see if i can get more hangtime in. any thoughts...thanks. i've definitely gotten flaccid gains so far and i'm about 2 months into it hanging about 5 lbs. also my erections are much stronger, but am i limiting true growth because of a lack of time invested?

Hey Phat, because DFUNKY asked a different question at the end of his topic, I was unsure of your answer. His actual topic was one question, but the end question was totally different, and I don't think your answer could be to both questions. To which question did you answer "No" to? Could you clarify?? thanks from all of us slow gainers.

right, outside the context of this post the answer is ambiguous, but within the context of his other posts phat's answer is responding to the question in dfunky's subject line. phat's saying that for medium to slow gainers 3-4 hours/week is not nearly enough.

I didn't notice the bifurcatedness of the post.

No means that such intensity is good, but not really enough for a good probability of gains.

The second question would NOT be a "no." I think it's becoming obvious that "any" time invested leading to any degree of PE intensity is not a "waste." It is, luckily for us, a "cumulative" process, where any stresses do some work on the ligs, and the effects of that work d not go away just because someone does not do it for a longer time period. Thanks for pointing that out. It is an important point, especially from a motivational standpoint.

Thus, such minimal hanging effort, while not conducive to fast gains in some, will go some way towaryd opening up the ligs to receive a stress big enough to pop them looser. Thus, 4 hours a week is beter than NO hours a week, yes.

But 4 hours a week for a slow gainer with tough ligs is not really going to do much for a long time. We don't know the thresholds, but they vary wildly from man to man. There are many many on this board who would gain over an inch in a year with such minimal effort, and they have. Others will never gain much at all unless they step it up considerably.

so are we saying about 8 hours would be better then

One cannot pin a number on it. Look at Bib. He did 8-9 hours A DAY FIVE DAYS A WEEK EVERY WEEK FOR TWO YEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He gained over 4 inches in that time, so you can go figure inches per month, and compare. No one and I mean no one on this board puts in that much because we don't have the time he did. That's 40-50 hours PER WEEK, or approximately 3,520-4,000 hours of hanging over two years, leaving out a month or two for vacations and down time. This does include his rest days. You can then figure that Bib had about .001125 inches of grwoth per hour put in (I can see Bib chuckling at these statistics). You can then look at mine which is about the same or actually a bit more depending on the accuracy of hours (.002).

So, interestingly, I am not much different than Bib in rate of growth, I just have not put in nearly the effort that he has.

However, Bib and I are MUCH slower than others like BibBob10 and many lucky guys I could name. Their rate of growth per hour is up around .01 inch or more per hour from what they've posted. It's all relative and unfortunately, genetic--beyond our control.

I'm in a hurry, so I didn't have time to check my math.

I'd say a slow gainer, ceteris paribus, needs about 2-3 hours a day for 5 days so that is about a minimum of 10 hours a week. I think 8 is better but maybe 10-15 would be ideal for a slow gainer. I know that's hard to do, and few can do that. I have invested probably about 10 hours a week and I have minimal gains, but I do have some.

Then in 100 more hours, I will be ~.25" over my FIRST
big goal! I think that the first gains are just really
good, but I hope it stays that fast! I think the STP is
a great alternative to hanging, at least for those of
us that have a hard time keeping weight on our schlongs
(I guess I am evolving a home-made Trac-Man device).
Dayam, I can see myself with 13 or 14", winning bets on
construction jobs, having ppl. pay me to see it!
Anyone ever estimate your "hidden penis" length? Mine
is around 5 or 6 inches... too much extra to bring out!

ok now i'm confused phat i thought doing this every day was not good. that's why i've been doing three times a week...are you telling me i could be doing 5 days a week. give me an example of a good routine.

"ceteris paribus?"

Man, I haven't heard that phrase since Econ 101 way back when . . . kind of makes a guy feel all warm and fuzzy inside, knowwhatimean?

I can't speak for Phat but I think it's clear that neither he nor any of the veterans would advocate hanging every day. There have been a few who sustained injuries when they were unable to temper their enthusiasm with good judgement. A 5-day/week regimen, though, might be reasonable if done properly . . . i.e., 3 or 4 on, 2 off, or something similar . . . just work up to it gradually! "All other things being equal," extra effort will pay off, but you must make safety and rest days high priorities in your program, too.
