I had unbelievable grtowth for a short time. I calculated my rate at .05" per hour. (1.25 " inches in 3 months or 12 weeks and only about 1 - 2 hours per week of PE. Thats 1.25" /24 hours = .05" per hour) Mostly used V-stretches and short, sharp jerks. Just a bit of Jelqing. It is a problem (skid marks, carpet burns, blisters) no matter the lube. You veterans, what does one do when he has reached a plateau and is no longer gaining. Appreciate your input. (Seven)

Hi 7UP!!

First of all, since I haven't done this previously, congrats on your great gains!!

Now to the problem you ask: to be honest with you, I haven't "plateaued" since starting PE, so I can't tell you exactly what may be causing that, or out to "cure" it. What I can give is my opinion, based on my experience, and some of the knowledge that I've gained in one year of this.

IMHO, a plateau is reached when the stimulus is not enough to produce a response from the organism, or when the system has been stressed too much, and doesn't have the capacity to respond, so no growth appears. I think that you may be suffering from the second cause. That's why I allways do 1-2 months of PE, with 1-2 weeks of lay off, to get the system rested and at 100% efficiency again. And this is my suggestion to you. Although your total time with PE workouts hasn't been too big (short sessions), your growth has been amazing, and my take is that your system is "tired". So try and give 1-3 weeks of rest, and then restart again.

If any of the other guys think differently, than please "enlight" us, because I too like to learn :)

Well, I hope this helps!!

I wish I had an answer for you. I am in the same boat, I started pe on august 1 2000 and my target was to take 1 year go from 6" el to 7 el and as of january 1st I am stuck at 6.75". quite frankly, I am happy with my gain and my general penis health is improved and I have definitely become a consistent 6.75" instead of having to measure on a good day.

with 4 months left to my one year target, I sure would like to break this barrier and get that last quater inch.

This is a great topic which has received little attention. Plateauing in PE seems to be a fact of life for the vast majority. I had several periods where I stopped gaining for between two and five months.

The number one consideration is not to lose hope. This is normal. If you are not at your goals, develope a new game plan.

The generally accepted procedure for dealing with the problem is to 1)change routines, 2)stop and take a prolonged rest, or 3)just keep on with what worked in the past. I have no knowledge of the prolonged rest theory.

Changing routines can be effective if the new routine creates new or stronger stresses which help to break through new limiting factors incurred. Divide and conquer.

Or the routine with which you achieved your gains may be the best for you in the future. It may be that the holdup is simply a tough limiting factor which is already being attacked affectively. If you still have the worked out, fatigued feeling, you are probably making progress.

Is it the last swing which fells the tree? Or do the other strokes deserve credit also.

Damn. I'm a poet.

I had the same problem. I made some decent gains with jelqing, and then one day nothing. I made no gains for a few months and someone (Sizemeister, I think) suggested that I change my routine. I switched to hanging and as a result I am seeing some new gains (although very slowly)

Take a week off!!! I know it is hard to do, especially when
you are frustrated, but you won't lose your gains, and you'll come back rested and with heightened enthusiasm.
Remember that it is a long term process, and one week will
cost you nothing and could gain you alot. Almost all of my
gains since my initial quick start have been right after
a long rest. Good luck@@

7,

I don't think there is going to be any way around changing up your routine a little if you want to see more substantial gains. By the way, if I didn't say so before, your gains so far are awesome! I've been trying the v-stretches for about a week now and I love them. I have added a link to the exercise on the Glossary page.

Anyway, back on topic, to me it would seem that, like our friends who hang, you will have to go up in weight and intensity a little. I'm know the basic premise of your exercise but I don't know what modifications you have made to it, so I don't know if you have tried this or not. There is a limit to how much of a force you will be able to exert with one of your hands, and even then it will probably be inconsistant. Maybe you should do a more controlled stretch. Like, pull on your penis with one hand like before, and then apply a weight at midshaft for your stretch, and leave it on for a longer amount of time.

I am in the group that thinks that longer workouts with suffucient rest days coupled with is the way to go.

Good luck

Just changing how many on days versus how many off days you take could be enough of a difference to break through the new limit. When I felt my gains slow a little I did a shock routine (about 6 hours of PE) and that helped.

Good Luck

i agree with the other guys too. maybe take a (mental) break, then come back with more intensity to your program. at least that's what i do. it'll all work out good in time. good luck :)
