Has anyone tried this program. Is it realy as good as the testomonies make it(most gained over 15 pounds in 6-8 weeks). Thanks in advanced.
I haven't tried it, but i have tried other programs that are similar to that.
To gain 15lbs of muscle in 6-8 weeks is nearly impossible without the help of steroids. Even for a beginner gaining 15lbs in that amount of time is VERY hard. Building quality muscle takes time, and a lot of it. I've been working out for 6 months and have been making very good progress, but im guessing that i have only gained 10lbs of muscle. And that was under optimal conditions considering the fact that i had the proper nutrition, and that i did TONS of research on lifting weights before i started. And for the non-beginner, gaining 7lbs of pure muscle in a year is an achievement.
If you meant 15lbs of weight, well, that could be anything. I gained 15lbs in 6-8 weeks, unfortunately that was mostly fat and water weight from the increased amount of water your supposed to drink. If that was the case, then its totally possible.
If your looking to get huge, start with a good routine and good nutrition.
Make sure that your routine has the 3 basic lifts that are ESSENTIAL. You need these. They are the deadlift, squat, and benchpress. And you should also consider an overhead press of some sort like a push press or shoulder press. Your routine should be based around these 3 exercises. You can train other muscles also like the biceps, triceps, abs, forearms, and calves. But one word of caution, DO NOT GO OVERBOARD WITH THESE MUSCLES. Many guys train the abs, chest, and biceps exclusively and neglect essentials like the legs and back. Dont do this, the legs and back, are BIG muscles and release a lot of growth hormone when you train them. They alone will make you huge. The other muscles are pretty much there, just for the ride.
Make sure you get enough protein, water, and calories. That means approx. your body weight in protein (1g of protein/lb of bodyweight), at least 3 liters of water and enough calories so you keep gaining weight.
Also get 7+ hours of sleep every night. Most recommend 8+, but that is not always practical for the working man, or if your going to school.
Follow this and you will get results guaranteed.
I've seen his photo in one of the 'Body for Life' winners groups, and man, if those before-and-after pictures were actually of the same person, (which apparently took 12 weeks) there's no way he could have done it without 'roids. and at 4-5% body fat? gimme a break...

Did you ever end up trying Ellis' program? I need to structure a program to take the guesswork out but I am not sure if his will work well or not. Thanks a lot for your help.

I've got his program, sorta my friend had it and he used "backup" on his computer when he formated his computer. Now it's on 4 disks but I don't know how to retrieve it on my computer. I've tried but just cant get it to work. If you can help me retrieve it I'll be more than happy to email it to you.

holmsy: I would also like that e-book if you can get in transfered.
When I put one big file on multipli disks I split the fil with winzip or winrar. Can u tell me the extension on the files? Is it .zip or .rar?

I'd really be interested in a mass building routine. I work out 5 days a week and am gaining weight, but VERY slowly. I've probably gained about 5 lbs of muscle in the 8 months I've been lifting. To be honest I've taken off about a month in there, but I feel I'm dedicated enough to this to keep it up, but some help would sure come in handy.

holmsy:
1. What Operating System do you have? (win95/98?)
2. Is it 4 floppydisks with 1 qic-file in every floppydisk?
Here is a way to restore the files:
http://www.qic.org/html/faq/faq9.html
If you have problems, you could always send the qic-files to me and I can restore them. But better if you can do it yourself, look at that site.

OK I now know what the problem is. When MSBackup is used it writes some info onto your computer about how big the file was, size etc. Because the file was from my friends computer I don't have that info on my computer that's why it wont recognise it on the floppy disk. Anyway I'm trying to change some files on my computer to put in info that the files on the floppy disk is meant to have.

Yes, I am currently (nearly half a year) in the Anthony Ellis program.
It is a very well done program tailored for "skinny hardgainers." It doesn't perform miracles, of course. Some people, like myself, are very hard gainers. Others gain muscle a bit easier.
They did a forum poll at AE's site among users. The average said they gained about one pound of muscle a week. Some said two pounds per week. I have gained quite a bit less than one pound a week, alas.
The program stresses diet and tells you exactly how to structure your diet and your weight lifting program.
Your body fat versus muscle mass is measured weekly and there are specific instructions how to adjust your diet to minimize fat gain.
There is also a companion fat loss routine for those who start out with too much body fat, and for those who've gained the muscle they want and now want to get rid of any fat gained during the mass gain process.
If you want a serious well done body building program that is very well researched and documented, I recommend this highly.
You will have to count calories every day and you will have to work out an hour or so three times a week. This is a real program for people serious about gaining muscle mass. It isn't a miracle pill. You have to do the work. But it works for a lot of people -- skinny people.

are there many who have claimed to have results like anthony ellis has claimed? All over his website so many claim results just like him.
one or two pounds a week is still pretty good as far as building muscle is concerned

Like I say, though, a poll of many current program users found the average gain was about a pound a week. That means some gained more than that and some less. I fall into the less category.
Anthony himself has gone on to even more muscle mass gain, but the claims on the website (if I recall) are only those documented by the contest he won -- most muscle gained in X number of weeks.
Again there is nothing magical about it, it isn't some miracle approach. Just good diet and good exercise plan -- with those things that work best for hardgainer/skinny guys.
It's a good plan. I don't think there is anything more productive out there -- well, except for steroids.
