View Full Version : DHEA? great stuff or not
After searching around the internet for supplements i ran across an article about DHEA and it the things it said about it were really awesome. I was wondering if anybody on this board has used it and if they've gotten any ill or positve effects from it. The only warning i saw was that it increases the amount of hormones you produce so it could be dangerous if you dont take the right dose. hope somebody can help

Yes and no. For bodybuilding It is often used before a workout to help the trainee "focus", although I really cant see it doing much on its own. As an anabolic precursor (to testosterone), the stuff is practically useless, a waste. The amount that gets converted to T is minimal and DHEA favours conversion to estrogen.
But there has been recent discussion about its use as an immune system stimulant (and a good one at that) especially when taken topically (absorbed through the skin).
Even so, dont bother.
