View Full Version : Need GOOD Supplements for Specifics...
okay, I'm a very skinny 18 year old male who has a gym membership and is looking for supplements to help out.
I need to Gain Weight (A LOT) and the supplement should also give me an energy boost and some strength to complete my workouts and max out after more reps. I need something that at least tastes decent and keep in mind that I can only work out after work daily (about 7-10 on 3 weekdays). If there is any program (like Cybergenics) that only requires this type of workout schedule I am VERY interested in knowing...
ANY input is appreciated.. Thanks in advance!
Hi,
For getting extra reps you could try:
Creatine
Ribose (maybe - I've never tried it but I've read good things)
Ephedrine / Caffeine - not too close to bedtime though.
First you have to make sure that you're getting enough calories and protein. About .70 to 1 gram of protein per pound of bodyweight a day. After that you should be taking a multivitamin / multimineral supplement, maybe with some extra vitamin C or other antioxidants on workout days.
There are two articles you might find helpful at the M & F site...

One word EAT!! And lots of protein. you should eat 5 or 6 times a day of med. sized meals a diet of 60%/40%/10%.No supplement will do you any good if you don't work hard w\heavy weight.Go to http://thepumpingstation.com/index.html they have great advice for hard gainers. Good luck and stuff your face bro.
forget exotic supplements they just make money for the supplement companies but i would shove down as much whey protein powder as i can afford and tolerate that is good stuff train no more than twice a week on big stuff like squats benchpress rows deadlifts 45minutes each session you have to rest to grow good luck
