I just bought this thing called the ab wheel, im sure many of you have heard about it. Its a cheap version of those one sold on TV. MY question is how do u use this thing properly? i have heard it works but fail to get an ab burn during any point in the workout.

Never tried one, but if its what I think it is, try moving your abs thru the range of motion by stretching them thru putting the natural curve in your lower back while tilting the pelvis away from the chest, then, as you roll back towards your feet, contract the abs and draw the chest in towards the pelvis, tilting the pelvis upwards/ forward to draw your hands and the wheel towards you. If you pull the wheel towards you by flexing your abs and contracting them, it should be a good workout. I would think that the more your arms are out in front of you, the more more force required by the abs to stabilize the "bridge" between your arms and your legs.
