View Full Version : turning PRO !
I want to get into bodybuilding for 2 reasons the chics love it(ripped abs, bulging pecs etc) and when I meet guys that I used to go to school with I want to scare the shit out of them. How long would it take to become a pro bodybuilder? like the ones you see in bodybuilding magazines.(Ronnie Coleman,Flex Wheeler, Jay Cutler) Oh yeah without steroids. Thanks

In pro body building circles it is said that a man typically developes what is known as a "mature physique" in his mid thirties. That is assuming he starts serious training in his early twenties. It is these "mature physiques" that win the top awards. So you are looking at a 10 to 12 year time frame if what you want is an award winning physique.

Just so you know... those bodybuilders that you mentioned are not steroid-free... If you're looking to emulate bodybuilders, you should be mentioning drug-free champs like Skip LaCour, Mike Ashley, and Jean-Paul Guillaume.
Can't go pro without massive amounts of juice, GH, and slin....Many so called natural champs use Gh and slin....Train hard, eat right, and see how you do...genetics go a long way in determining your potential.....
Hey,
Come to think about it women don't like the pro build very much at all. I'ts intimidating, women go for the athletic look alot more. I agree it's mostly genetics that will determine your bodybuilding success. Steroids and other crap help out, I'm sure. But without the genetics your going nowhere. Even with a good steroid like anadrol 50 a tranee must spend countless hours in the gym.
take care
