Figured this is as good of a place as any.
Today, I was reflecting back on my PE endeaveaurs and I realized that I was really doing a lot of things ass-backwards. Good lord. So here, I'm opening up myself to show all the newbies what to NOT do.
The best thing I did was read. A lot. I lurked this board for a good 3 months before even starting PE. Honestly, I think this was a great idea. It forced me to become educated before jumping in head first. Unfortunately, it also led to my stupidity. I kept reading, "START SLOW" over and over again. Unfortunately, I'm one of those types of people that hear that and go, "Oh, that's for those that aren't educated. I can go for a tougher routine." I then started with an advanced routine by J Meister. DUMB! Because of that, I got a nice little set back of 2 weeks off with no PE after one week because I couldn't get an erection. START SLOW!!
Second, I didn't do kegels as consistently as I should have. Once again, I went for the extreme and was doing three sets of 700 kegels every other day or so. Unfortunately, I didn't force myself to do these consistently, so it was more of whenever I thought of it. That didn't do me good because it kept becoming less and less a part of my workouts. Do 100 kegels a day, every day, consistently. Make sure you do them. It takes MAYBE 5 minutes and that's if you really take your time. It will help you in the long run, trust me.
Avoid the fancy workouts. This is just like bodybuilding. If you don't have a good foundation, you can't get anything. You're not going to have killer biceps if you're not working your chest and other large muscles as well. Stick with jelqs and stretching (and hanging if that's your thing) in the beginning. Unfortunately, I didn't as I tried doing "half-jelqs" and other exercises because, once again, I was overambitious.
Hopefully these mistakes I've made will prove what you guys shouldn't do. I mean, I gained .5" in length my first two months even with all these screw ups. Imagine how much I could have gained if I didn't have to keep taking a week off here or there. PE does work, just play it smart!
