The reason why I'm conducting this poll is because as some of you may know, I'm still interested in getting "a little off the top". I want to make sure its something that will truely benefit me and not make me impotent (lived all my life with foreskin).

I chose cut for a few reasons.

First would be the hygeine issue. I don't like smegma. I'm not even sure what it looks like, but I've read and heard about what it is and it really isn't something I'd want.

Secondly, supposedly being cut makes you able to last longer because you're not so overly sensitive down there....and I'm not selfish when it comes to that. So if I had to choose between
a.) having foreskin and having the most INTENSE orgasms and receiving the most pleasure of my life or b.) not having foreskin that covers and/or hangs over my glans and able to last 4 hours+ during sex and giving my girl the most pleasure she's ever had in her life...I'd instantly choose 'b'.

I've already chosen 'b'.

Not saying that uncut guys can't give their girls pleasure, I'm just saying "statistically" that uncut guys can't last as long...supposedly.

And lastly, 99.9% of the women I know (alot of them I've known ever since grade school) hate uncut cocks. Did you guys ever think about the fact that you're not only mutilating your 'centre of manlihood' but also cut out precisely the area with most nerve endings. No offense to all you circumcised guys but in my eyes you are all victims of a Victorian Puritan brainwash machinery that was put into gear centuries ago. It was hostile towards sexuality and the natural human body and resulted in penile mutilation on a mass scale. Hygiene was, and unfortunately still is put out as a poor excuse to cover up the real incentives, even though modern statistics proove that uncircumcised men have a lower penis cancer rate and a significantly lower risk of receiving sexually transmitted diseases (I cannot recall the exact quote but my source of information is a respected North American medical journal).

Just make sure you are REALLY sure that you want to go through with this for yourself and not for your partner or any kind of peer pressure. It is a decision that is irreversible once it's done and if your not a hundred percent sure I would rather give some time and thought.

As for as the smegma, I can only remember having smegma maybe a couple of times, when I was going through puberty. I'm a medical student at a VERY well known school (been in the top 5 med schools for the last 10 years) and actually came across some research toward the end of my undergraduate years in this field. Being cut drastically reduces the chances of contracting the HIV virus. A (now, not then) collegue of mine performed this experiment in Africa. Couples where one was infected with HIV and the other clean were targetted. I don't remember the exact figures, but if I ever decide to search through the library stacks I'll post them, but I know it was over a 95% better chance of not contracting HIV for circumsized males (Not one of the over 100 couples where the male was circumsized ended up transmitting the virus). It has everything to do with HIV's ability to infect WBCs and the presence of WBCs in semen. Basically, the virus is carried by a WBC to the partner. Foreskin promotes this carrying and gives the HIV a sort of safe haven. I'm not saying this means we should all get cut or whatever, but it's something not very well known that I felt obligated to share with all of you.

So now it seems only to be causing problems, so it's coming off. I'll be able to give a verdict whether I like being uncut or not when I've had the operation.. If I don't like it, well, there is foreskin restoration. LOL. So I'll give my input one beautiful day... The queues are long for this surgery, so I don't know when it's my turn. All I know is that afterwards it needs 4-6 weeks to heal. LOL, imagine what massive load that will generate... 4-6 weeks without any sexual stimulation. whoa.

Well, in this case, I don't know if there is an option. I did have some skin cut off when I was younger, but apparently they cut off too little.

Adding skin? do you mean by jelqing? I've tried that already, but it doesn't seem to be working as I want it to. I get some extra skin "bunch up" near the head, but the skin doesn't seem to grow in the direction I want it to. (around rather than length-wise). Anyway, it's painful when the skin cracks, so it might be better to have it cut.

In any case, if I want my foreskin back, I'll try some restoration techniques. I might even like the cut look and feel, who knows? I'll pick up PE once again sometime, maybe to restore some skin to ease masturbation. :) Anyway, I'll probably be through hell, since the operation means no sex for 4-6 weeks. i read in mens health (august 2001 i think) that 95% of women who have had unprotected sex with both cut and uncut women PREFER uncut. for some reason it feels much better to them due to the gliding action or something like that (i dont remember exactly).
in canada, its become illegal for doctors to circumcise any child unless they have full consent of both parents.
around the world, cut men are a minority BY FAR!! in europe its around 3-4% cut men ~96% uncut. thats a big difference between the near 50/50 split here in north america. the numbers for uncut are going up however and last i read it was around 60/40 for the uncut. or something like that.
just my 2 cents.

Surgery was as you expect it to be. Filled with nervousness. ;) However, I asked the doc if we could try that alternate surgery were several small "*******" are made to widen the foreskin. He agreed, since it was not too tight. Besides, the foreskin cracking occured only when having sex or masturbating, so it was ok to try it. The team there were great, calming me down etc. Was given shots so I wouldn't feel the pain.. But they used too little first, so I felt the pain of the knife. (OUCH) After a few more shots though, I didn't feel a thing. After the surgery, my willy was all swollen because of the shots. Nice girth LOL! Had a big bump in my pants. Hehe... So it wasn't a complete circumcision, as I still have my foreskin. He did remove the frenulum though... It has gone 11 days now, and 3 have already disappeared. Just can't wait until the two on the left side disappear, so I can pull back my foreskin again and wash it.. (it stinks now!) You see the stitches make it almost impossible to pull back the foreskin completely... At least there's no pain now, so now I'm playing the waiting game. :)

I am restoring my foreskin right now. It is as simple as PE and only takes about a year to get good coverage. I am unhappy with being cut due to a very tight circ and loss of sensitivity. I tell you what though. A good friend of ours is a gynecologist and she asks all of her patients if their boyfriends/husbands are circumcised.
The reason is, on the recieving end for a woman, there is far more documented issues with women who have uncircumcised husbands.

I was given a loose circumcision when it was done and my frenulum was kept. I have restored completely the foreskin so from my experience I think I would have liked to be kept in uncut. Although, I think I might have some cut off, because it often seems that uncut guys have "too much." My restored foreskin puckers and gives complete coverage. At first the cleanliness issue was a problem, but that is just what others have already said, just take care of it daily.
