Flacid Measurement Standard

I've always wondered what the standard procedure is for measuring the flaccid state.

Do most people:

A) Gently raise their penis so as to measure it exactly as it was resting under their pants a moment ago.

or

B) Give a very light pull before measuring. I am not talking about anything hard enough stretch the ligs at all, just a gentle pull (and release) to uncoil it before measuring.

I know it doesn't really matter that much as long as you are consistent in your measuring practices, BUT it does matter in terms of being able to make comparisons. What procedure did most of the published studies use? What do most of the members here mean when they state "flaccid length."

If I measure using procedure A, I measure 4.5".
If I measure using procedure B, I measure 4.75"-5".

To complicate matters further, there is also normal fluctuation throughout the day. That is a separate issue. I deal with that issue by just using my daily minimum values (excluding extreme conditions like being out in the cold). In any case, this normal intra-day variation does not really effect what I am talking about, because despite this type of variation, Method B ALWAY yields me a measurement .25-.5" longer than method A.

Yes, that's an interesting question! My daily "fluctuation" in flacid length is 1/4 - 1/3" I think. Which is the *real* flacid length?

And I even think that my flacid size varies from day to day. There are days when I am that 1/4" longer and there are days when I am that 1/4" shorter, and it doesn't have anything to do with PE. I noticed that long before I started PE.

For my own records, I used to always have sort of a flaccid "range" rather than one be-all measurement. There are too many factors that can affect flaccid measurements to do it any other way, IMHO.

I could care less about flaccid states.

flacid varies so much for some of us who cares,
we all do :)
it seems our little buddies are thier smallest at the worst possible time.

i had a physical last week and the doc was female, it came time for the turn your head and cough. i dropped my drawers and she seemed taken off gaurd . then she proceeded to check both sides twice??? whats up with that? it didnt hurt she was nicley built and had a hot accent, the more she checked around the more he grew. Iwas expecting a porn scene LOl.

I have a plastic 6 inch -150 mm vernier caliper ---$5 from the hardware shop-- which is great for measuring the hanging flaccid dick.

But I always jump up and down or turn quickly around a few times before measuring just to get him hanging properly.

I hang flaccid at 5.5-6 inches, and a few times just over 6.
