the uk has strange laws regarding pornography, it is (too my knowledge) illegal to sell or show on TV harcore pornography, hardcore meaning containing penetration or a shot of an errect penis, there is a limit for the vagina but i saw some porn discised as a "documentry on strippers" where a stripper showed the camera her clit piercing. thats about as far as it goes, plus there is very little porn at all accessable on brittish television. good old internet.

Britian seems backward in some ways and positive or progressive in others. Or rather contradictory would be the best word. You have weird shows that can show a girl shooting ping pong balls out of her snatch like Grahm Norton while we get a heavily edited version over here on my cable system from the BBC America. You have page three girls in your newspapers who appear topless constantly, meanwhile I can't find any "real" newspaper in America that does that. Yet God Forbid you see a guy with wood! Of my group of friends who are guys, most are circumcised, and one of my buddies was circumcised at the age of 8.


And yes TT, Euro porn is excellent. I recall watching TV when I was in Hungary, at 10:00pm (or 22:00), two stations just changed to hardcore porn (thank god for XXL). It was quite interesting. Until some years ago I actually thought circumsition was something that only jews and muslims did. I was surprised when I discovered it was normal in America too, and to be honest I didn't understand why. In my part of the world (Norway/Scandinavia/Europe) foreskin is not looked upon as something dangerous/ugly or whatever and we see no reason to start cutting in newborn babies. (At least I think that goes for most of Europe) I'm happy to be intact, because I believe being cut makes your head tougher and less sensitive. I also believe that it should be a human right to be in charge of your own body. Babies can't say no..

Is there some kind of public debate in the US about this? There seems to be on the internet at least (mothers against circumsition, etc) Some doctors are for it some are against. Can some of you 'yankees' give me a layman explaination of why you do it?

I was circumsised as an infant.
In the US many of the physicians in the 19th century were jewish.
And I believe that at least initially this may have played a role in the promotion of circumcision in the US. Also earlier in the 20th century there were theories that seemed to be confirmed by experience and later studies that showed some health benefits.
among them are:
-circ'd men don't get paraphimosis or phimosis
-balanitis is unusual in circ'd men
-there is a reduced incidence of penile cancer
-there is a reduced incidence of cervical cancer in the mates of circ'd men
Now, the opponents of circumcision will try to deny the last two (the first two are irrefutable) but better studies completed in the last two years seem to confirm them.
Overall I think that it should be left to the individual that owns the penis as to what risks and benefits he would like (I think there are some up sides to being uncut) so when my son was born we did not have him circ'd. The pediatrician seemed somewhat irked by this interestingly as though he felt we should follow his lead without question (pissed me off).

As I'm reading this thread, I ask myself have I ever seen an un cut penis? I would have to say a definate no. Noone in my school days or afterwards ever had an uncut penis. Both my boys are cut, I perfer it, but i quess it is a matter of taste. I was Born in Colorado, circumcised as a baby. I always assumed being uncut caused more health risks because of not being able to keep the space between the forskin and glans clean.

Cleaning an uncut penis isn't rocket science.. you pull the foreskin back and wash. There are even (insert word which means things in the skin that emits something, I don't know what it is in english) on the foreskin that kills bacteria (I've heard) They also keep the head slightly moist. Being uncut requires good hygiene though, or else there's gonna be a somewhat 'sweet' odour when your head is coming out for some air..

Im uncut, i have no problems, i pull the foreskin back and start washin, but that yeast is horrible shit, you will get that if you dont wash.

I was born in Kent, England, not sure if circumcision is as popular as over here in oz, but i moved here, Australia, when i was a baby, i think over here in oz, circumcision is a done thing for most males.

Personally, id rather be uncut, aslong as you wash, your penis is protected, thats what foreskin is for.

Im from the UK and I'm cut. I was circumcised at birth, but I was born in South Africa where my parents had moved to live and work for a while so maybe this is why. Then we moved back when I was about 2 years old, and as I grew up I noticed most people in the UK are uncut, but I much prefered the look of my cut trouser snake!

I most recently saw a load of naked guys when I joined a group of fellow university students to help out our charities comittee to go and appear in a TV show airing on Sky One in the UK called Britain's wildest. We all appeared naked on the show, laying on a football pitch spelling different words with our bodies linked together! There were about 25 guys and a lot less girls (about 5!) and out of all those guys, only one other was cut (but he kept a dressing gown on most of the time and decided to stay in the background and take pics for the uni charities comittee!). I was under the impression that about 15-20% of guys in the UK were circumcised, but this sure put that idea to rest!

Anyway, I still prefer my sleek cut look, and I got eyed up by all the girls at the shooting, probably because they had never seen a cut one before, and were also probably curious about how it worked!

If only I'd seen the end result of that day, but unfortunately being a poor student, I don't have Sky!
