i've been shaving randomly out of pure curiosity since i was in late middle school and sporatically through high school and i currently now try and keep a tight, trimmed look to my penis. however, i've always wanted to know what it'd be like to get completely rid of the hair, kinda like they do for porns and whatnot, only for the life of me i can't get everything off my scrotum, and the whole ordeal takes entirely too long anyways. any suggestions for removing all the hair or maybe a quicker way to trim up? i feel real stupid asking, but i figure someone on this forum has an answer for me.

In terms of shaving ALL of your pubic hair off, don't. You will look like you're 8 years old down there. I shave the hair off of the base of my dick and trim the pubic hair. I also shave my balls. It isn't hard to do, doesn't take me long, as long as I do it once a week. If you let it grow out and then try and shave, it will be quite a project. Soak your cock and balls in hot water for a few min first. That helps get the skin and hair ready.

shave the base bald, trim the bush very short, dont touch the balls, i use an electric razor so the first two are no problem and take like 2-3mins, but shaving my balls takes a while, and i always cut myself, not as painful as it sounds, but it still hurts.

I shave it all off guys... I love it this way. have been doing it for almost a year now... Once a week... I got pubic hair at 8 years old, Gandolf I hate the stuff.... If I look like i'm 8 then so be it... My way of staying young I guess.. Since I was only bald down there for like the first 7 years of my life...

I shave my balls. But use a beard trimmer to trim the bush. I keep the shaft and base down as well as keep the bush confined to a 2x3 inch square just above the shaft on the mons pubis. I keep that square about 1/2" long, everything else I trim down to 1/16" with the trimmer. I leave it longer in that patch for two reasons:
-i like the look.
-I think pubic hair does perform a clit tickling function during sex.

I've been using Magic Shaving Powder (http://www.walgreens.com/store/product.jhtml?CATID=100780&PRODID=1956). This stuff really works to remove hair, no messing with razors and no accidental skin cuts. It will burn the skin if left on too long though. It's inexpensive and can be found in many US supermarkets or drug stores.

I shave. Sometimes all- but recently I've gotten sick of ingrown hairs so I keep it short trimmed. I have very few hairs on my balls so I trim them very short. As long as the shaft & base of your dick is shaved & your pubes are trimmed then it's fine. PEing workouts I would imagine are better than if you let it grow out like in the 70's or something.

I'm black and the only reason I bring it up is because if I shave with a razor I'll get like razor bumps from hell. Those electric razors are the worst! Most black hair is very curly and begins curling almost immediately out of the follicle. Razors are getting better and better at pulling the hair up, cutting the hair close, leaving a smooth shaven face, that feels great for about a day. that's when straight hair starts to grow straight up, but extremely curly hair can, and does start to curl even before it gets all the way out of the follicular canal to cut in just under the skin, creating a razor bump. Now everyone has had a razor bump, black or white, or green for that matter, but you've seen 'em on black men. We tend to get them bad. It ain't pretty!

For some reason I can't explain, Magic shave allows a close shave and makes the hair follical grow out straight just long enough to make it out of the folicular canal thus reducing the chances for razor bumps.
With all that said, I use it to shave my face and maintain my pubic area. If it wasn't for Magic Shave I WOULD NOT shave my balls!! That's the last place you want razor bumps. I even use it on my lower back. I have some unwanted hair back there. No bumps, no cuts. It not as quick as shaving but the trade off is well worth it.

I just got my first bottle of tend skin. I am white and have curly hair. I get nasty ass ingrown hair and razor bumps on my neck when I shave. So I got tired of looking like I have a friggin rash every time I got a shave. I will try it out and tell you how it goes. I found it by doing a google search for tend skin.

Hmmm interesting post on the Magic shave powder. How safe is this stuff? Is it absorbed by the skin or does it just work on contact w/ hair only? I'd be worried putting something near my balls if it will be absorbed- that's why I'm asking.

No, it isn't absorbed. Are you thinking some chemical will get into your sperm? That won't happen.

The powder is mixed with water into a cream or paste (depending on the amount of water). I mix it in a plastic cup with a plastic spoon and try to get it more paste than cream. I used the spoon to sread it on my lower shaft, base and all over the scrotum. Timing is important. If it's taken off too soon, it doesn't work; too late and it can irritate the skin. After 7 minutes, I use the side of the bowl of the spoon to scrape the hairs off. They're disolved at the skin line. All this is done in the shower before I turn on the water. After scraping (gently) I rinse thoroughly under the shower. The first time I did it I used a terrycloth wash cloth to remove the hair and took some skin with it. Gentle scraping with a relatively smooth edge is all that's needed.

I have had magic powder before. But did it to fast. It stinks bad! Possibly sulfer or egg like. I didn't leave it on long enough figuring that it would burn me like Nair did. When the directions say on Nair don't use on your nuts, they mean it. Deep chemical burn on my left thigh. OUCH!

I also get a nasty rash if I shave my neck upwards so now I shave down. Any way, tell me more about this product, I might consider it.

I have wavy hair and a thick beard and also got tired of shaving my neck. If you are light skinned with dark hair, you are a good candidate for laser hair removal. I've had two treatments on my neck so far, and my neck is as smooth as a baby's butt. It's great not having the irritation anymore. It's not cheap and it hurts like a bi***, but in my opinion, it's completely worth it.
