Hey guys a while back i think i saw a thread on how to clear what you have searched for off your computers search engine. Whenever i type the letter p it automatically shows a list off all the items i have search for starting with that letter. I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction of that thread so i can clear off the items i have searched for, cheers,

Hey Jack,
Here goes...
If you have IE5.5 or better,
Go to the "TOOLS" drop down, then at the bottom youwill find a tab called "internet options"
Click in there, The first thing you do is clear your history, then delete your files (Those are just internet files). the you go back to the top tabs and click in on the "content" tab, down near the bottom you will find a tab that says "autocomplete", click in there and uncheck any boxes you want to, and there are two buttons to clear forms and to clear passwords.
I hope this is what you were looking for....

I tried it and it did not work for me.
My problem is similar. Let's say you're going to type in a web address- you type w w w . (insert any letter here) and as soon as you enter any letter on the keyboard, the address bar drops down with sites that I haven't visited since may of last year! I deleted everything in my temp folders, temporary internet folders, cookies, etc. etc. (I have win2k so there's more than one Temp folder). Any ideas? I tried the autocomplete clear thing- and no success. I've tried searching the registry also- found nothing :(

Its called Winwasher. You can find it on Kazaa...full registered too. Gets rid of all your tracks. You may still have to use the search feature on your PC to look for any left over pics on your computer though.

Mirlin's method worked for me :) I should have known you are supposed to restart your computer after following his instructions.

Also need to clear you documents folder on the start menu. It holds the last 15 sites that you visited. Go to start, settings, taskbar & start menu, advanced tab and then clear.
Every little bit helps.
