Have any of you guys heard of new forms of it using some sort of NASA telescope/sattelite technologies? I read something and misplaced it. Damn! I heard this form is available only in California and is in testing still for The FDA? Anything in europe that has not crossed over yet?

I saw this report about a month ago, now I am not sure if we are talking about the same thing but what I saw in the news was of a new laser eye correction procedure that elimanates the "halo" blur some patients see @ night. I wasn't even aware of that until I saw the report.

The new procedure scans your retina and makes like a 3D image of it, then when your under the laser, it will correct according to the image so its very accurate and it will elimanate the halo problem.

Cost is about $5k and its ready here in L.A.

Was it in your local newspaper or tv station out there? If so perhaps they have a web site i can reference it from. Then find actually who does it.

I had Lasik surgery back in 93'. Its been great! For the first 6-8 months I had night time halos, but it faded. I'm 33 and my vision is still great, 20/20. If not for astigmatisms, I would probably be 20/15. The new technology is called Lasik using LADAR. Its basically a way to map the eye to a far greater degree, which delivers better results than straigh Lasik. The technology is based on NASA's satallite mapping technology. If your going to consider any type of surgery this one should be on the top of the list.
