PE Brothers!! I need pop up help. BAD!!!

I have Roadrunner now and since I've had it I've some WICKED pop up activity! And it's just gotten progressively worse. Now my RR connection is collapsing from the sheer number of adds invading my desktop. What do I do?!!!

Don't Panic!!!

Ok what are you running?? (*******98 or XP)?
If 98 then you will need to get the popups outta the way (ALT key and the "f4" kew together) that combination stops the popups and download a popup stopper from Kazaa lite!

If you have XP, then you can go into safe mode with networking and do the download since the scripts that force the popups can't run and you can "fix" it without stopping the ad *******.

Go to your control panel and the add/remove programs and look for anything that resembles...
savenow,Gator, Adaware, AWG, Calendar reminder, weather alert, comet cursor, juno or gstartup. those are some of the programs that "sense" the connection and pop up the ads.
There was a thread in one of the other posts that Big AL posted a program he uses that he says does the trick... (I do mine manually since I am a tech I need to know this crap)..

Thanks, Mirlin, & Insane_man. Your advice really helped I've seen a drop off of pop up activity. I really was frustrated with all the pop ups because I'm a college student with papers due, perpetually it seems, so I'm always on my computer and the pop ups at times came so fast & furious that they froze my computer and I lost several pages of work that I had neglected to save.

You have some serious spywear on your computer, that program
adaware works well, just make sure you have an up to date virus program and you update your virus tables at least once a week.
When you down load and run the adaware program or anyone like it becareful not to remove the cydoor crap or kazazz wont work, I heard there is a fake dll out there that will fool kazza and you than can remove's it spy wear. Also it's very important to run all ******* update's to block off ways to hack your computer.
