Great! Good to see we have web developers in our P.E. community. My question is on browser window sizing.
When I work with dreamweaver, I usually work with a maximized window of 1005x635 it wasn't until yesterday that I realized that anything I enter will be displayed at that current window setting.
So what I am saying is I am literally seeing WYSIWYG
I found that most users have a monitor resolution of 800x600. So I selected in the window size pop up menu to be the 760x420 which would be 800x600 maximized. Immediately, the window frame shrunk and the panels were out of the window and I could view my desktop.
I am not use to working with a smaller window so my my question is, in order to achieve the standard 800x600, must I work with that window size instead of the fully maximized window? I hope that made sense.
THis is the site: http://www.geocities.com/romanntiko/index.htm
Its for a dept in my college, I'm a little frustrated because I worked on the page for about three days (relatively new in web design) and then I previewed in another browser with monitor resolutions of 800x600 and it looks distorted. Can you help?
Try to set ur resolution for 800x600 and then 1024x724 and you will see how it can look distorted.

The page looks fine to me.
800x600 is pretty much the standard these days htough more and more people are starting to get bigger monitors and run at least 1024x768. The web design industry is still going to have to cater to the 800x600 folks for a few years yet.
I personally have a 19 incher (monitor that is) and run it at 1600x1200.
The main table on your page appears to be set as 85%, because its set to be a percentage, if you resize the window it will adapt to the new window size and the tables which are set to be an exact size will remain the same size.
I viewed the page on a number of different resolutions and saw now problems, the table containing "test" resized to fit the new size and it all looked fine to me.
