I haven't, but a few guys I knew (not exactly good friends) got sucked in and ripped off by some modeling agency. All I can say is be wary of any promises.

If they mention getting a percentage of what work they get you. Good agency.
If they ask a fee up front, say no "fuck you" and leave.

Where are you located? (Don't answer me),
Find out where the fashion crowd hangs out in your area and get talking with 'em.
I worked for a few years when I did some time in southern CA years ago, mostly magazine shots and live "rollout" shows where you model for buyers (and the public) for merchandise that's ready to ship. It was fun for awhile and I made some extra $$ but if you want to break in and get some serious cash you should do the agency route.
First you will need to get a portfolio going with some "stock" shots of your body parts (NOT THOSE LOL) head shots, upper torso, lower torso etc. If you find a good photog he'll know what you need.
Then you follow the advise of Tek and find an agency that will represent you and contract for a percentage.
Good luck and remember, guys will measure your inseam with their palm facing the floor, Women will measure holding your jewels :) Charge them for the feel!
