Got my digital camera today.. an Olympus Camedia C-1. Simple, but it gets the job done. Now, it didn't come with any batteries, so I tried out some alcalic batteries. Works fine, for a few pictures that is, then the batteries are drained. (!)

Now, I got me some rechargeable NiMH-batteries instead.. Hopefully this will fix the problem. Any similar experiences? I've got to wait till 5 AM to try it again, since the batteries I bought need 16 hours to be charged.

You made the right decision. I used to sell electronics, and I absolutely love digital cameras, but hate the fact that they go right through batteries.

I have an HP digital camera I got cheap, and stumbled across an HP battery set. Been a Godsend.

Yup, digital cameras are cool. :-D And the rechargable batteries did the trick. =)
