View Full Version : Hanging after 2 months: L.O.T. drops

I've been hanging routinely for over two months now, and my L.O.T. has dropped from 10:00 to 9:00, which means when pulling almost straight out I get a slight tugback. Going back to reading Bib's theory, I must have really high and short ligs attached to my pubic bone. So I'm hoping that this is some sort of positive sign. In case you're wondering, I have not gained or felt sore the next day from any hang session. Let's see, what else... oh yeah, my weight is at 8lbs (5lb plate + 3lb plate) and I hang BTC sitting on the edge of my bed with my feet propped up straight out in front of me on my clothes hamper- works fine.

The only "fatigue" I feel is usually during the 2nd set of 15 minutes, I feel this intense burn type stretch (as if you were to touch your toes w/ out bending your knees) on my ligs attached to the pubic bone. Once the hanger comes off- I feel no pain. The next day I feel nothing as well. Another problem I am facing is a cool touch glans. The glans is a dark red/maroon color and sometimes if I prop the hanger up and check my glans by pulling it out- there is no blood (it's pure white) with light purple/maroon blotchy blood deposits scattered around. This usually happens in the last 5-8 min of my hang session. However, if I rub my finger across my glans I still have feeling. Just a bit worried about that and wondering if it's a normal side effect finishing up your set.

Are you sure you are not simply stretching skin right now?

No, that does not sound normal. It seems you are getting zero blood flow. You might have your wrap too tight, or if a circular compression hanger, it might be too tight.

Give some more information, and I will try to help you. Type and amount of wrap, type of hanger, more about what you are feeling, etc.

Eight lbs is not very much, and should not be causing such problems.

Hey Bigger,

I am using a Bib hanger that I ordered almost a year ago but kept having bad luck with it (not the starter model, check any sales records for "Sean" in "Shelton, CT") and I am using an Ace bandage wrap and grey thera-band that came with the hanger. I am using roughly the same amount that Stillwantmore listed in his post (I used that data as a point of reference). I try to wrap just so the wrapping is covering my dick. In fact, a small extra bit of the thera-band bunches up and gets caught within the "teeth" of the hanger at times.

Yes, the skin is stretching but I do feel an inner tug. It feels like my lower abdominals and intestines are being stretched as well sometimes :) But again, no ache or fatigue feeling once the hanger is removed.

Here are the specs on the hanger's settings (I will try to explain these the best I can based upon a BTC position. The "front" of the hanger will be the part of the hanger facing in front of my body when in BTC- so the front has the single wingnut screw with the "teeth" directly above it. The "back" of the hanger is where the two wingnuts and hinge are (where it says "Patent Pending). As just stated- there are two wingnuts in the back- the top wingnut is where it says "DING" in Patent Pending and the Bottom Wingnut is where it says "ATEN" in Patent. I hope this helps in the visual.

Now for the specs: The "Front" wingnut is tightened so the teeth are meshed and there is about 1 inch of screw exposed from the right edge of the wingnut. (If hanging BTC, hold a ruler on the right side of the wingnut as it's tightened and measure the exposed screw area until it touches the round part of the wingnut- there is 1" of screw exposed). Like this D:l:l:l:l:l:l:l:l:l:l:l:l:l: = 1"

The "Back" top wingnut bolt/screw thing has about a half inch of screw exposed (measuring this time from in between the two back parts of the hanger- not the hex nut or part of the hinge- just measure the visible screw area). The bottom wingnut has about 3/4 of an inch exposed so it is shaped like this | \ (Toe in gap I think?)

My penis size is 8" EBPL and about 5.25" midshaft extending to 6" at the base erect. I am sorry for a long post- if you need me to clarify or take pics then let me know!

P.S. I almost forgot! When I tighten down the hanger, I have my left hand squeezing the glans tight and pulling straight up so it does not trap blood- and I release this grip when the weight is on and I am slowly beginning to hang. Sometimes some blood gets trapped and my glans is slightly enlarged from the pressure- yes it still gets cold. I also attach the hanger close to my pubic bone- as close as I can in fact. I have tried it a bit lower, but it feels the same- only I get more skin stretch in addition to the ligs being stressed when I attach it close to my pubic bone. I really typed a mouthful and I'm sorry. Heck if you want I can take pics or make some mpegs of me hanging/setting up/cold maroon glans, whatever you want. Just let me know.

Pics would be great, but I can help you a lot right now. There are several problems.

This tells me a lot. First, please realize, it is not very often that someone else's technique will help a great many other guys. This is because so few guys have the same physiology. You will have to experiment, and find your own technique. Do not be afraid to try different things.

The first thing I would try is to lose the Ace bandage. If you have to have a subwrap besides the Theraband, use something thinner like sweat shirt material. But many guys find just the Theraband alone works well.

Your statement about the wrap getting caught in the teeth tells a lot. You are using too much wrap, or do not have the hanger adjusted correctly. The more wrap used, the more likely the hanger will slip and become a noose, stopping blood flow.

You may simply need more weight. But you will have to go up slowly. However first, we need to get your technique fixed.

OK, I think I sense a problem here. You refer above to the wing nuts, and say nothing about the inner hex nuts of the hanger. This makes me think you are not adjusting the hanger properly. The bottom wing nuts are not adjustments. They simply allow you to easily get to the inner hex nuts for adjustment. If you are using the wing nuts to adjust the hanger, it cannot work properly, and is very likely to slip, causing the blood flow problems you are describing.

Run the bottom wing nuts out to the white plastic beads. Then pull the right clam shell away from the left clam shell. Next to the hinge, you will see two sets of hex nuts, front and back. The set of hex nuts furtherest from the hinge are the adjustment nuts. Run them out to about the area needed for your wrapped size. Then tighten down the wing nuts to firmly secure the two clam shells in relation to each other. They must be solid before attaching the hanger.

This is a trial and error process. You want the top teeth to be slightly meshed when the hanger is tight enough for hanging the amount of weight you wish to hang. So you will likely have to adjust the bottom hex nuts several times before you get it right.

This does not sound right either. I am afraid your wrap is too tight to begin with. The wrap should be loose enough so that you can pee without strain. At this level of tightness, the head should naturally drain of blood without having to squeeze too much.

I'm sorry about that detail :) Yes, I use the hex nuts inside of the clamshell. I pull the clamshell out to expose the inner hex nut, then adjust the upper hex closer to the other clamshell than the lower hex and then tighten down on the wingnuts to lock them in this position | \

I will not use the ace bandage tonight. I will just use the piece of theraband I have. Here are the specs to the piece of theraband I use:

Length 12.5" inches

Width is about 3" inches (it's not a perfectly even cut).

I'll run the camera on it tonight and even show you my "old" method of using the hanger I mentioned above.
