I find a good way to get positive feedback is to do a ruler stretch before and after a
workout.

I warm up, do a few of the exercises, (like 5% of what I am going to do total), go back to
about 10-25% erect, and then do a ruler stretch and take a measurement. Then I take a
measurement at about the same 10% "erectness" after the workout.

While everyone will be different, I have found the difference in before and after
measurements to be VERY encouraging. Having just started less than two weeks ago, it
helps me believe that this is actually doing something. Although most of the workout gain
of course is lost a few hours later, seeing a ruler stretched length increase of 1/2-3/4 of
an inch from one workout tells me I might be on the right track.
