I only know how to jelq with lube so hopefully someone else can add their experience to this post about dry jelqing and power jelqing or different variations.
First thing you should do is warm up your member with some form of heat for ten minutes, with a hot washcloth or heating pad, your choice, I use a heating pad.
I do this sitting, with vaseline as a lube, I've tried different lubes so experiment with different ones 'til you find the right one for you.
The idea is to force blood, with pressure into the balloon type canals in the penis. The way to do that is to make an 'OK' sign with your thumb and forefinger and starting at the base of your member, squeeze it as you move your hand towards the glans, forcing the blood toward the glans. As your hand gets to the glans, right behind it, let go while starting your other hand at the base again, and keep alternating your hands.
You can do this with palm up or palm down, I prefer palm down. The amount that your penis is erect while you do this stresses it in different ways. Almost all flacid doesn't do a lot, you want to have some blood in there to work with. 50% or less erect will work the head alot and work the lengthening process of your PE workouts. 70 to 80% erect works in favor of developing girth, and is a little tougher on the hands.
Remember, you are putting stresses on your joint which it has never had before, so be very careful. If you feel any sharp pains, reduce pressure or take a break. Picture taking a long balloon half full with liquid and the stress you can put on the end of it by milking it in this way.
Start off slowly, do 50 reps in the morning and 50 at night when you start off and build it up to 100 morning and night by the end of 1 or 2 weeks. After a while you can go for 30 minutes at a time. I'm up to 45 minutes after hanging sessions now after 2 solid months of doing these exercises. You should give it a break every couple of days to heal.
After a while you will be able to modify this technique to add more pressure to different areas of your member. One way is called a Uli, short for Ulistretch I think. The way I do it is palm down, and squeeze extra hard at the base and move hand up until I feel the pressure build up then stop moving my hand and using the middle and ring fingers of the same hand, I either squeeze in pulses to a count of ten or squeeze and hold for the same, then switch hands. You can do this palm up too and use your other hand to help.
Quite a few men have gotten great results with these methods and have added upwards of 2 inches to their units. Remember it took them several months to achieve these gains so don't try to do it all in one week, you WILL injure yourself, and have fun trying to explain that one to your Mom or a doctor. LOL. Consistent persistence is the key. Realistically you should notice results in the flacid size first over a months time and the erect size over 2 to 3 months time.

One thing to keep in mind is the jelqing speed. One problem is a person may jelq too fast, which is not productive. Also try not to slip into the masterbation mode. Additionally, don't jelq with an errection because you could injure yourself. Start with about one second jelq to warm up and you probably should not go faster than that. Then as your time progresses say after 5 minutes then start slowing down to 2-3 seconds each jelq. After a while then flex your pc to flush blood into your penis and then jelq extra slow and occasionally pull at the end. People may disagree with me but I personally don't think it is a good idea to jelq twice in the same day except for maybe a one or two minute very light jelq to just help get blood there for the healing process.

I've noticed a lot of jelquers have been posting their gains and saying they jelq with a full erection. I would like to caution all newbies about this. Most of the injuries I've read about in the last year have been caused from doing exactly this. Jelqing itself is a little unnatural as you are forcing blood back into the penis. Doing it with a full erection leaves almost no place for the blood to go. I wouldn't recommend trying this heavy duty erect jelqing without at least a full months worth of workouts. Hell, I've been jelqing since June first, and even though I might gain a little quicker with this method, I'm just not willing to take the risk. Think about what you are risking when you make your decisions. Just my 2 cents.

when you say palm down, do you mean the oalm facing towards your
glans or towards toy balls? so when you do the uli and you use the fingers
of the same hand you are holding with, are you pulsing at the top or bottom
of your penis?

The thumb and forefinger make an OK around the base and the pinky is closest to the glans, palm facing away from your face. The squeeze is done with the OK finger and thumb as close to the base as possible and if you squeeze harder than a regular jelq not much blood escapes through the fingers as you move it up the shaft. Kegeling right before you squeeze helps to get more blood in there. When you have enough pressure built up toward the glans, then the other fingers are used to add even more pressure to the glans and area under the glans. Not recommended until your unit is in good condition from regular jelqing, as this creates a lot of pressure and definitely a good amount of 'red spots'. I wrote that post last July, maybe I should revise it a little, or just answer questions.

I'm having a hard time keeping a stiffy while jelqing, any other exercises I could do to stretch dick or should I jelq with a little less blood in my member? Any recommendations?

There are different levels of erections you can jelq at. You should do whatever you can to NOT jelq with a full erection, IMHO. So if you aren't getting fully erect during jelqing, that is the safer route to take. If this doesn't seem clear enough, reread this thread a few times. Good Luck.

Hi guys. I'm new to this and I have a problem with the semi-erect part. Maybe I'm not understanding this, but I am only semi-hard for a few seconds and then if I'm excited it will quickly become fully erect; if not, it will just go back down.
Anyone else have this problem?

Here are some common remedies for that problem:
1) Try to bear down a little harder when you jelq. Also if you have to try to avoid your "sweet spot" if it makes you get fully erect that quickly. You might try coming in contact with your penis on the left and right side rather than the underside which is the most erogenous part.
2) Think of things which do not arouse you sexually, like football, the presidential election, or kidney beans.
3) If it becomes such a problem where you can't perform the exercise, you could either masturbate up to 30 minutes before hand so you will be not quite so easily stimulated. Sometimes I will first to a Uli#3 (look in personal routines section) if I get that full boner and that tires out the ol' boy and I can manage it better.

Hmm, kidney beans. I can honestly say I wouldn't have ever thought of that one. Don't know if that would work, though...kidney beans are rumored to be the most erotic of all legumes.

Also i too find it hard not to become erect infact im spending more time waiting to become flaccid than i am jelqing.

It is difficult to say how hard to squeeze, of course it should be really easy at first and slowly increase in intensity as you get experience. I remember an old post where a guy said the size he made with his 'OK' finger and thumb was comparable to a quarter. I think this is a better way to think about what you are physically doing. The blood initially comes in the center of the penis and goes to the head and then back down the outside. By jelqing you are forcing the blood back the way is is coming expanding the veins and tissues in the area as you do so. I recommend starting lite and thru your own experience you'll know what is right for you. Repetition and consistency are what you need to focus on first. Watching TV might help you lose those erections. Masturbating a half hour before the jelq session may help, but it will be tender to start with. I found I had the same problem when I started but as I just kept at it, I learned what to expect from my member. After a few weeks of doing these exercises, your joint gets accustomed to the new sensations. Good Luck.

So I guess I have been doing this all wrong. I have been tightening the base of my Penis with OK fingers of one hand and only Jelq with the OK fingers of the other. In other words I have been restricting blood flow and by what I am reading you need increased blood flow. So once more the actions is suppose to be continuous from one hand to another and at no time I should have a stationary hand? Right?

There are different versions of jelq. The one mentioned in this thread is probably easiest and is most commmonly used. The one you've been doing sounds like something from one of the pay sites (big-penis, was it?) which is a good exercise as well. I would personally recommend if you're just starting out to do it with two hands for a while until you're used to it.

The kind of jelqing you're doing is advanced. Trapping blood in your unit and jelqing it while holding the blood in there would be similar to jelqing with a full, or almost full, erection IMHO. I don't believe you should start at that intensity, you could get an injury easily that way. I think you would be better off to do the one described in this thread for a couple of months and then you would be more in tune to the pressures your unit could handle. Good Luck

I find that breaking up a jelqing session with 'squeezes' makes it a lot less boring. What you do is get you're unit full of blood while squeezing hard (with the 'OK' grip) at the base, then keep kegeling as much blood in as you can take, let go of grip while you kegel and tighten back up. Kind of like a full length Uli. Then squeeze (with your other hand), gently at first, in different areas of the swelled up kock. Good Luck.

I was wondering about something. I havent really gotten into this stuff yet, but I want to.. and so I was doing it tonight and it was odd in a way.. that brings up my question. When i would make the OK sign with my thumb and index finger at the base, and then proceed to slide it towards the head, because I was not fully erect, the OK was like grabbing the looser skin around the base more on the bottom and taking that skin with my hand as I was sliding it towards the head. Is that normal? Or should I somehow be doing this without my hand in the OK sign pulling that skin along? This is probably hard to imagine and is hard to explain. Any thoughts would be greatly accepted. Thanks

If you are using lube, your fingers should be sliding over the skin, and a little skin gets pushed forward but that's ok. What's important is what's happening under the skin. The blood needs to be forced forward, irrelevant to what is happening to the skin. You can actually jelq without lube by doing the same motions but moving the skin with the motion.
Picture a balloon 1/4 full of water. In order to move that water from one end to the other, you could lube your grip, squeeze behind the water and slide your hand over the balloon and move the water forward. Or you could pull the skin of the balloon back, grab that skin without lube and push the water forward without sliding over the skin itself.

Sorry Growing.. I didnt mean to sound unhappy with the info that you gave me. I do appreciate any help you can give. I am just having a difficult time imagining the exact way to do this.. palm towards the body.. or palm away or whatever. I just dont want to screw this up and possibly hurt myself.. and I dont want to waste my time doing it incorrectly. I have the basic concept down.. but im just not sure if im doing it right. Let me just ask this. Everybody says make an OK sign with thumb and index finger. So, I do that. Now, do I put that around my penis (using right hand for this example) so that my pinky finger is like on my balls and my thumb is on top.. as if I were to masturbate?.. or do I turn my hand so that my thumb is on the right side and index is on the left side and the rest of my fingers are on the left?.. like have my thumb and index finger meet up at the bottom? Everyone is different on the position of the hand, some like it thumb on top and others thumb on bottom. Me, I do thumb on bottom because I can get the OK part of the grip closer to the base. I still change the grip periodically to thumb up just for a change once and a while. Sorry about the last post, maybe I wasn't clear on your question. If you join Big Al's site(at top of the page), there is a video of a guy jelqing with thumb up.

the site address is at the very top of this page. It comes well recommended and is good value for money. I bought another for $40 and his is about $25 if I remember rightly. Only wish I had run across his first, but for some reason didn't show up in my search engine.
It gives a lot more info than just jelqing.
I had the same thing happen at first. I'm still a rank newbie, but I discovered that it was because I was jelqing dry, just trying out the movement. When I added lube, the skin did not bunch up so much, and my OK was able to slide along smoothly.
I really appreciate the discussion here. The erection issue is a helpful thread to me. Jelqing feels damn good! My dick appreciates the attention, and comes to full attention pretty easily! It is really hard for me to keep the wood down, and not wind up jerking instead of jelqing.
I've gotten what looks like good instruction at www.amyyip.com/members/penis/intro.html Is this one of the sites people are referring to in their comments? You guys talk code, and even tho I've been reading a long time, I'm not getting all the jargon yet.

With the knowledge gained from reading a lot of the forum on how to do jelqing and what-not, it's important to develop a routine that you can stick to for a month, then re-evaluate, change it and go another month, and so forth. At the beginning of this thread I mention the use of counting strokes at first to keep some sort of regiment and increasing amount of strokes as you go and get used to it. After a couple of weeks of that, you would be better off, and less bored if you can watch TV or something, if you count minutes instead of strokes.
Eventually working up to 45-60 minutes of jelqing every other day is a great way to get going. If I add squeezes to my routine, I reduce the time because I feel worked out enough. I hang before, so soreness is usually my sign to stop. Since this thread is a good source of jelqing info I won't add stuff on hanging, however I do believe the best workouts start with some kind of stretching followed by some type of jelq or squeezes. The best of both worlds in one workout.
So in conclusion here, working out every other day (the off day is as important as the workout day) for around an hour should yield good results over a period of a couple of months.

There seems to be a common ground when it comes to getting results with PE.
First you should see a difference in the flacid state.
Second you should see an increase in the flacid stretched measurement (bonepressed). Important to take this measurement as with the erect measurement.
Third comes the erect gain...bone pressed (pushed in firmly, not drawing blood like I almost did, LOL). Try to measure a consistent erect state. I always try to max it out with kegels.

Hi, I am new to this, but have read pretty extensively and am familiar with PE. I have just started a routine but when jelqing, people say you should see the head expand and fill with blood when you near the head. Is this true? I haven't really seen this much, but mabye a little. Makes me feel as if I am not doing as much good as I could be. I'm in a semi-erect state @ the time.
Any sestions are appreciated.

When you first start you should be going very easy with the pressure to condition the blood vessels to get used to expanding with the new pressure you're giving them. It's difficult to say you are or aren't doing it correctly with so little input. If you don't feel a difference after 2 weeks and have worked up to at least 15 minutes a workout, then we might be able to help with some details. Good Luck.

It's impossible to guess how fast individuals will gain. Just remember that many times guys won't see gains for 3 or 4 months then all of a sudden a 1/4 inch in the 5th month. Not uncommon. You need to set a routine, modify it to yourself, read, ask questions, modify, etc...Consistently and persistently doing a regular routine every other day, actually working hard at it, and thinking long term is the mind set you need. Just don't give up, keep at it 'til you get what you want. Make it a regular part of your life and gaining an inch a year should be a reasonable goal. Seems like a long way off, but just think where you'd be 3 years from now if you do nothing...yup, right where you are now. Or imagine 3 years from now if you jelqed 30 minutes to an hour every other day. It would feel like someone elses dick between your legs. Your choice, you get to make it. Remember that this thread just describes the most basic form of jelqing and there is a lot of other ways to increase the intensity with various squeeze techniques that the good men that run this forum can help you with, just ask questions. Growing, what do you think about RB's dry jelq with his "sandwich" style grip? I'm very interested in it and I've done it before, but I haven't felt like I've given my johnson a workout as I do with a regular wet milking style jelq.

He found a way that works good for him, and you are fine with working it with wet jelq so I would stick with what works for you if what he does doesn't work for you. He has some great gains from it because he made it work for him. Stick with one way for a while to really see the affect it has before switching around alot, at first. Stick with a routine for at least 3 months to see if it's going to work. Good Luck.
