well first id like to say hey im new to all this and am just about to start and like most newbies probably do i filtered through alot of old threads. one interesting thing i was wondering about was what peoples starting sizes were before they started. most ratios of girth to length seem around the 1.3/1 ratio but mine is 5.75 length and 5.2 girth.

my question i spose is this, should i do any modification of PE exercises to compensate for this like emphasising one aspect of the exercises and in my position what is it you would tend to do. any help would be greatly appreciated.

and yes i know me name sucks but i made it up for another forum

There is no ideal ratio of length to girth that you can achieve since genetics determines what your ratio is, although hanging will add more length than girth if that's what you want.

Increasing girth is the most difficult aspect of PE and I personally am trying to increase both length and girth as much as possible.

I started at 6" x 5" a year and a half ago and I am currently at 7 3/8" x 5 1/2", mainly achieved through jelqing. I have now started hanging to increase length further since my gains through jelqing have stopped completely.

As it's easier to get length --I have found it so-- than girth, you are lucky.

5.25 girth is OK --- It depends what you want. Women -- as it is widely reported here ---seem to want girth, and men of all sexual persuasions seem to be more impressed by length, provided girth is OK.

(I was the other extreme- 7.5 x about 5.0. If you want to see my full stats -- see Progress Reports. I value length, but once I get maybe to 9 inches NBP -- in another year or so, I will switch to mainly girth.)

For length --- start off with Manual stretches -- or vee stretches-- (see the post "Thanks for the 1.25" in Best Posts, Page 5) should get you going for some length gains.

After these no longer work-- or if you have hard, resistant ligaments, and are not getting the gains you want, you may want/ need to hang weights.

Are you Australian?? (Guessing by your words "spose" and "me name sucks"..... just curious, mate.)

Do it slowly, carefully and above all SAFELY.

You're still within the realm of what most surveys would call average in length and girth, slightly on the high end for girth and slightly on the low end for length. I think most guys would rather have it that way then the other way.

I would like to re-affirm that length is much easier to come by than girth for most people. But when you find the right routine you shouldn't have a problem achieving your goals for either if you put the effort and time into it.

Welcome aboard!

I must be some kind of freak then according to your ratio coz i started with a larger girth than length. :)
