when hanging with the swimcap do i need to take the cap off after 10 mins or do i just need to take the weight off?

You'll be safer taking the whole thing off during a rest period, that way your head will have time to recouperate and regain a fresh blood flow.

Yup, I agree with Size, and using some form of heat and/or light jelqing between sets is also a good idea.
